Puerto Rico: At the Airbnb with Friends

We had been in the car for about an hour when we got to Loíza, I was so excited when i saw my best friend Arya, I patiently waited for my dad to park the car then I practically jumped out of my car and ran to hug my best friend, their whole family was there unloading all their luggage into the air bnb, they were very pretty buildings. Anjali (Arya’s older sister) brought me to the entrance of the air bnb, it was really nice and it had 3 bedrooms, one had a normal bed, and both of the other ones have bunk beds, my friends parents ash and Sarah took the room with a normal bed, my parents took the room with the small bunk beds and the pull out bed, and me, Christian (my brother), Anjali and Arya took the room with the big bunk beds because there is 4 of us. Christian and Anjali took the top bunk and me and Arya took the bottom one, the bottom is my personal favourite. Once we brought everything inside Anjali and Arya really wanted to go swimming and if we went then our parents would have time to plan the 4 days and catch up, so all four of us put our swim suits on and headed to the pool.
Once we dipped our feet in we already started to feel cooler it was really refreshing because the pool didn’t have heating it heated up by the sun, anyways once we finished swimming and showered in the outdoor showers we sat on some lawn chairs and talked. Arya and I got the small towels and we weren’t drying off fast enough so we decided to run laps on the grass, when we returned back to the lawn chairs Christian and Anjali had already left to go inside so we grabbed our tiny towels and caught up with them. When we got back to the air bnb there were snacks out and the parents were in their swimsuits, soon enough they walked out to go to the pool. My mom had the great idea to bring all our dirty laundry and just do the laundry at the airbnb, great idea and all except I had no clothes to wear while they were in the wash so I had to ask to borrow Arya’s top. Once we got dressed ate snacks and played games the parents returned. So they showered got dressed and made dinner, the food they made us was sausages potatoes and a GREAT salad. Then the Laul’s all huddled into the kids bedroom and when they came out they were all wearing red Christmas t-shirts then they surprised us with our own cute Christmas t-shirts, they we’re so cute, once we stopped thanking them we got changed into our Jim jams and watched the begging of the Naughty nine then when it hit 10:30 we all went to bed.
When I woke up the next day Christian and Arya were already awake ck was playing Minecraft on the computer and Arya was watching. I didn’t feel like getting up because it was sooooo cold and I was just genuinely tired. But when I adjusted to the light and ate some Rice Krispies I felt much better. soon enough the parents started to wake up and I said good morning to my mom and dad. My mom of course had to read her book and drink her coffee, and my dad just sat on his phone and drank his coffee. If you couldn’t tell my parents are slow risers. Because they just enjoy slow mornings and Coffee. Anyways once we were all in our swimsuits we all ate and lunch was packed we headed out the door into our cars and drove on the spirally El Yunque forest road. we went through little sights and took stops at natural pools, hikes and towers. We got to a beautiful pool and hiked 5 mins to get to the even nicer one we all went swimming and got free back massages from the power of the waterfall. Soon we all were back in the car and drove to go find parking, there were two cars so it was hard to find parking near each other but we still managed to, when we met up at a random stone block on the side of the road we all sat (some stood) and enjoyed some sandwiches oranges and spindrifts (typical lunch). then we walked up to the entrance of a hike and started hiking, the path was really small for the first bit but then we got to a parking lot that headed both up and down there was also a map that showed how much progress we’ve made and how much there was left to do, we had made it about half the way and so we looked at the map took a sit down and water break and kept going up it was about 20 more minutes until we reached the top and at the top was a tower that was in the clouds it was packed up there and also a bit wet because it was in the clouds but whatever, anyways we stayed for 10 minutes then we hiked back down to the stairs and the hike to the half way point, see there were two ways to go down so we took the way that we hadn’t come, I think the reason that there were two ways is one way was for cars and the other was for walking, anyways it was a long spirally road down and basically what the kids were doing was running and then stopping in the shade to wait for the parents, when we got about half way there was a looked like abandoned house or a thing that people were still building but we stopped and had this white chocolate pistachio candy bar anyways once we finished eating, we kept going on our walk until we reached the end and had some water then we walked to the cars and drove to a different natural water slide 15 minutes away, this water slide was not like a tour or anything it was more of a persons backyard and you had to pay to get in, anyways once we walked down we looked at the water slide and trust me when I say that this looked sooooo epic. It was a long, smooth, curvy, rock that was slippery and had water rushing down it, on the other half of the natural water park was this miniature waster slide, a massive pool, very curvy smooth rocks, and a platform to jump off. We hung out there for an hour then drove back home and all showered, for dinner we had tamales, salad, and pecan pie for desert. After that we got in our pjs on and watched the rest of the naughty nine, it was lights out at 10:10.
The next day was also an early start because the night before we had decided that the dads are gonna get the new dingy and the moms and the kids are gonna go to the caves, so we all got up got dressed and ate then packed the lunch again and left we all went to the truck rental and when we got the truck I rode with Arya, Anjali, and Sarah. We drove for about an hour to the caves and then checked in for the 3:00 pm group, my brother and mom weren’t here yet so we just decided to sit on the picnic benches and the big Puerto Rican chair and have lunch since my brother and mom weren’t here yet and the it was 3:45 we decided to leave their lunch at the ticket desk and we to go here the safety instructions and the rules for the caves. Right at the last second when we were about to go on the walk to the caves we saw them running to catch up, they made it but missed the rules and instructions so
we explained it to them 1. don’t touch the walls because there is spiders 2. DONT YELL unless you want to come out smelling different than when you came in. Those were the two main rules and I also just don’t remember the other ones Leta lone if there were more, anyways there were to main caves with markings on the sides and really cool patters on the roofs and walls in the first cave there were not many bats but cool markings in the second cave there were not many markings but colony’s and colony’s of bats, the second cave led us to a massive lookout or a big cutout in the wall it was vary vary high anyways once we walked back and hiked back down we drove 30 more minutes to these stunning ocean view with ginormous picky rocks. We spent about 30 minutes there before walking back to the cars and separating again, me, Arya, anj, and Sarah all went to a mini beach before driving 1 hour and 45 minutes back to the apartments. When we got back the only people home were the dads so we just hang out and waited for my mom and brother, they arrived about 15 minutes later and dinner was ready we had potatoes, sausages, salad, and bread, a piece of bread went missing and we all know it’s my dad but he denies it Evan though. He admitted it to me. Anyways that we all decided to have a pool party so we ate the rest of the pecan pie and headed to the pool at 9:00, we enjoyed it for about 15-20 minutes until a security guard came and told us the pool was closed and we had to leave so we showered and walked back, when we got back we changed out of our swimsuits and ate dinner for dinner we had sausages and potatoes again and saved the last salad for the next day then we ate the rest of the pecan pie, played some games and then lights out at 9:00.
The next day I woke up not that early probably like 7:30 am and Arya and ck were up, this morning was more of a slow morning because what we had planned was we were gonna go to the beach and have a beach day, so we just hung out until all the parents woke up and got ready, we all ate food , packed lunches, then headed out the door, we drove for about 30 minutes to get to the beach and once we got there we put down our stuff and then set up the big green tarp and once it was up all of the kids went swimming, after about 2 hours of swimming we ate some sandwiches for lunch and we bought slushiest for desert, after that we hung out for about another hour before packing up and heading home. right in front of the apartments there is this store so on the way back we stopped there and got drinks and popsicles, when we got back we showered ate some pork loin and salad for dinner then the kids went to the playground with popsicles, when we got back we did a bit of packing up for the next day watched some shows and headed to bed.
The next day when we woke up at 7:00 the Laul’s were packing and my parents were finishing there first cups of Coffe the Laul’s had to leave sooner because of the different car rental places so once we finished packing and loading stuff into the car we said goodbye and they headed off, once they left we folded laundry and grabbed a few things before leaving and driving for another hour going to the fseey and bringing them back to the boat.
